Fundraising Programs
Below are the fundraisers that St. John School is currently involved in to assist with raising funds to keep tuition increases to a minimum, purchase new text books and instructional materials, update classroom technology materials, maintenance of the building and to assist parents with raising individual funds to reduce individual students tuitions. Please take a look to see which area where you would like to assist.

Scrip Fundraising Program
Gift Card program that gives a percentage back to your child's account to assist with the following year's tuition costs. Orders are turned in weekly (Monday by 9am) and are received by Thursday afternoon. Select Scrip is also sold out of the box on Friday afternoons directly after school. Use the following form to turn in weekly orders -

What's New?
You can now order Scrip OnLine - at www.shopwithscrip.com and use the St. John School Code of 34C311995LB. You can also sign up for Presto Pay to have the payments taken directly from your checking account.
**Update** - JC Penney no longer allows scrip to be used to pay on your account. Nico's Pizza, Schottenheimer's and Johnny Rockets have all just joined the scrip program - welcome!
Box Tops for Education
09-10 School Year Goal = $1800

** UPDATE ** The PTG is proud to announce that the new program for box tops is well on its way! The first turn in date has arrived and within the first two months of school, we raised $1030! That plus the total already posted on the site, puts us at well over half way to our goal this year! That is incredible! Thank you to all who have participated and remember to keep clipping!!!
Ways to earn collect and earn Box Tops for Education collections:
- Earn cash for our school every time you clip Box Tops coupons, shop online at the Box Tops MarketplaceSM or order books through the Box Tops Reading Room. Visit the website for all the above options and much more! Just click on the logo above.
- Box Tops can be found on hundreds of your favorite products bought at the grocery store every day. Each box top clipped and saved is 10¢ CASH towards new items for the school.
- Take a minute to sign up to receive a Box Tops for Education E-mail Newsletter and earn 5 bonus box tops for our school just for signing up!
- NEW PROGRAM FOR THE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR! Keep collecting your box tops and instead of turning them in for your indivdual child, turn them in for your child's grade collections. Each month, the grade that collects the most will win a special prize! Collection bins will be located in each classroom for their classroom. Send your box tops with your child to be placed in their container. Weekly totals will be posted in the cafeteria and at the end of each month, the winning class will be able to choose from a list of prizes - I.E. free jeans day, donuts for breakfast, pizza for lunch, an ice cream party or popcorn and a movie, Good Luck and keep clipping!
Tyson Project A+

PROJECT A+: In your grocer's freezer section, look for Tyson Products that display the Project A+ logo. The label you save is easily identified by looking for the simple 1, 2, 3 program steps. Each label is worth 24¢ cash, which goes directly back to the school!

Lables for Education

Labels for Education has been awarding free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands for more than 30 years. Just clip the logo and barcode from most of your favorite Campbell's brands. Each label is worth 1pt - 5pts towards many educational items for our school.

UPDATE FOR 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR - WITH THE COLLECTIONS FROM LAST SCHOOL YEAR, WE WERE ABLE TO PURCHASE A PROJECTOR FOR THE 1ST GRADE CLASSROOM FOR USE WITH THEIR NEW SMART BOARD - WAY TO GO!!!! WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT ALL OF THE PARENTS HELP!
Be Green - Earn Green
NEW PROGRAM - St. Johns is collecting Capri Sun & Kool Aid brand drink pouches for an upcycling project with TerraCycle (TerraCycle creates pencil cases, purses, etc from the pouches - you may have seen them at several stores in town). For each pouch sent in we will receive $ .02. Students and staff can deposit empty pouches in the collection bin in the cafeteria. No need to rinse, simply remove straws & deposit in box. Pouches sent in from home - should be placed in a plastic bag to control the spread of residual juice. Janine Gaynier will be coordinating this project.
UPDATE -- (2/16/10) Another shipment has been prepared for refund of $50, which means we have collected nearly $100 or 5000 pouches! - way to go!
Ronald McDonald Pop Tab Collections
St. John School participates in this program, not for financial gain, but for charities to assist with families in their time of need. Each year, over 500 families stay at the Ronald McDonald House, most at no cost at all to the families, while their children receive medical care in Toledo. Due to the efforts of many organizations around the Northwest Toledo and Southeastern Michigan Areas, over 27,000 pounds of pop tabs were collected in 2007, which enabled the Ronald McDonald House Charities to feed all of their guests at no charge! All of this, because you took the time to pull the tab off your soda can! This is definitely a well deserved charity that St John School plans to continue to support for many years to come.
For the 2008-2009 school year, we collected 140 pounds worth of pop tabs - Great Job!
